Introduction

Hello! My name is Isabella Zareba, and I am a senior from Prosper, Texas. I started riding horses in 2014 when I was five. I lived next to an English lesson barn and started lessons immediately after their summer camp. My first horse show was 2 months later. Even as a “little”, I knew horses and riding would be part of my DNA for my foreseeable lifetime. Riding continues to give me confidence, compassion, determination, interpersonal & leadership skills, and a sense of professionalism in and out of the ring.

I competed in the North Texas Hunter Jumper Club (NTHJC) for a portion of my riding career - a regional hunter-jumper circuit that closely models its rules and classes after USEF. My crowning achievements were being awarded Champion for both 2022 season 2’6 hunter and 2’6 equitation, 2022 season High Point scorer, and 2021 season Reserve Champion for 2’3 hunter and 2’3 equitation.

I have also participated in Interscholastic Equestrian Association (IEA) since 2020 (6th grade) and have moved from Walk-Trot to the top level of Varsity Open Equitation (flat and o/f). I have accumulated the required points to qualify for several IEA regional and zone finals (o/f and flat) as an individual and as the team rider. IEA continues to teach me how to be an effective, adjustable catch-rider and a very responsive, understanding rider. It has also fostered a sense of team spirit and camaraderie for my teammates during and outside of shows.

Through sacrifice, commitment, and determination. I transitioned to a rated-show barn in 2023 and began actively competing in rated shows in 2024. This has truly been a next-level experience for me and supports my goal of riding for a varsity, collegiate Equestrian team. My horse and true partner, Divine Taste (Rubin), is a 7-year-old Bay Westphalian gelding. Rubin has helped me navigate the transition to rated-show life. In just 2.5 months of competing at 3’3, Rubin and I qualified and competed at Junior Hunter Finals hosted at Kentucky Horse Park (2025) and finished with memorable placings.

Outside of the barn, I continue to challenge myself to excel in the classroom. This does not come as easily for me as for some, but that fact has only made me work twice as hard. As of my junior year, I have a 4.0 weighted GPA and a 3.4 unweighted GPA, and will increase this during my senior year. Riding will always be my main priority, but I have also participated in my high-school JV swim team (9th) and JV track & field (10th-12th). I belong to my Church’s youth group, have assisted as an intern counselor in local horse camps, and have participated in numerous community functions. I attended Emory & Henry’s collegiate prep camp in June 2025, which was an amazing experience to learn new training techniques, strengthen my skills, and make friends who share my equine passion. I have traveled abroad in Europe and other countries, which has exposed me to multiple cultures and has helped me grow leadership and ambassador-like skills.

I look forward to the opportunity to fulfill my goal of riding for a varsity-level collegiate Equestrian team. I  know I will ride beyond college because I truly love everything about the equestrian life…caring for & bonding with horses, the time required to train/practice, increasing my skills, showing, building lifetime relationships with trainers and riders within my barn, and a sense of humility and personal growth I continue to experience. I am truly excited to move to my next chapter as a collegiate equestrian team member!
